Celebrating Visionary Leadership: Kim Harding Awarded Honorary Doctorate

Last month marked a proud and inspiring moment for our community, as one of our founders, Kim Harding OAM, was awarded an honorary Doctor of Business degree by the University of New South Wales.

This prestigious recognition reflects an extraordinary career defined by innovation, leadership, and a deep commitment to creating meaningful change. The University Council conferred the degree in acknowledgment of Kim’s exceptional contributions to business and entrepreneurship, alongside her lasting impact in philanthropy and education.

A Career Built on Innovation and Impact

Over more than four decades, Kim has been at the forefront of business innovation, founding and leading pioneering companies in the payments and loyalty sectors across Australia and the Asia-Pacific.

But her influence extends far beyond commercial success.

Her work has consistently been guided by a clear purpose: to create opportunities for others. This is especially evident in her dedication to advancing education and leadership pathways for young women – an area where her impact continues to be both profound and far-reaching.

A Legacy of Giving Back

As co-founder of the Harding Miller Education Foundation, Kim has helped transform the lives of countless students by supporting high school girls displaying academic excellence from disadvantaged backgrounds through multi-year scholarships.

Her philanthropic leadership reflects a belief that education is one of the most powerful tools for change – opening doors, building confidence, and shaping future leaders.

Recognition Well Deserved

The honorary doctorate is not just a celebration of past achievements, but a recognition of ongoing influence. It highlights Kim’s visionary leadership, her commitment to equity in education, and her ability to inspire others to think bigger and act with purpose.

Her journey serves as a powerful reminder that success is not only measured by what we achieve, but by the opportunities we create for others along the way.

Looking Ahead

We are incredibly proud to celebrate this milestone and to recognise Kim’s continued impact as a leader, innovator, and advocate for change.

Her story is one that inspires us all – and reinforces the values at the heart of everything we strive to do.
